Alaska Congressional Election 2012 Political Courage Test

Pro-life Do you generally support pro-choice or pro-life legislation?
I am Catholic and Pro-Life! I believe that life begins at conception.
No Do you support United States' combat operations in Afghanistan?
No Do you support a timetable for withdrawal from Afghanistan?
I support our troops and their efforts that our nation has tasked on these fine young men and women. Our country needs to pull out now. We can not afford this fight.

Indicate which proposals you support (if any) for balancing the federal budget. In order to balance the budget,

No do you support reducing defense spending?
No do you support an income tax increase on any tax bracket?
Yes do you support reducing Medicaid spending?
Yes do you support reducing Medicare spending?
Yes Is balancing the budget a legislative priority?
Our country does not have a revenue problem, it has a spending problem, and unless we balance the budget now it will make no difference what program Congress wants to cut, there will be no funds for any programs, not even the military. A country cannot continue to borrow 5 billion dollars daily and expect to pay it bills later, (kicking the can). It is time that our country starts standing up for ourselves and stops expection a free hand out from the government.
Yes Do you support the regulation of indirect campaign contributions from corporations and unions?
There should be a cap on funds raised for the Presidential race and funds from corporations as well as unions should be strictly prohibited. On a State Federal races, campaign funding should be limited, (cap) to a total amount that can be raised. Funding for that race should be from raised from within that state only. This would allow the ability of a challenger to take on an incumbent that has backing from special interest groups.
Yes Do you support capital punishment for certain crimes?
I support capital punishment for acts of treason against the country or if you take a life while committing an intentional illegal action.
No Do you support federal spending as a means of promoting economic growth?
Yes Do you support providing tax incentives to businesses for the purpose of job creation?
No Do you support spending on infrastructure projects for the purpose of job creation?
No Do you support the temporary extension of unemployment benefits?
No Do you support the 2010 temporary extension of tax relief?
Recent Federal spending as a means of promoting economic growth (stimulus bills) have not worked. Those funds windup in the wrong hands and never makes it to the project that it was intended for. The Federal Government needs to get out of the way of business and allow them to strive without having to worry about new regulations implemented by the EPA, Federal Government or new taxes the following year. "Smaller government"! I do however believe that we should go to a flate tax for everyone.
No Do you support requiring states to implement education reforms in order to be eligible for competitive federal grants?
I would do away with the Department of Education first and foremost. Next the only way that reform of our educational system will ever happen is rid the system of tenure. The current system is not working.
No Do you support reducing restrictions on offshore energy production?
I believe that we should open up NPRA, OCS, and ANWR. Our country needs energy now. I understand the concept of green energy; however the demand for energy is greater than the supply, cost and technology that green energy can supply.
No Do you believe that human activity is contributing to climate change?
No Do you support the federal regulation of greenhouse gas emissions?
The original actions of the EPA have had a major impact of the enviornment for the better and I applauded that Department for its past actions. The EPA dreams of zero emissions are unrealistic and places undue burdens on business throughtout the United State.
No Do you support restrictions on the purchase and possession of guns?
If you impose restrictions on the possession of Firearms, it will only create a larger market for illegal guns. It will require more funding to the BATF to enforce those laws. The most important of the issue on restrictions on firearms would be that you will violate my Second Amendment.
Yes Do you support repealing the 2010 Affordable Care Act?
No Should individuals be required to purchase health insurance, as mandated in the 2010 Affordable Care Act?
The country is now seeing that Obama Care, (Affordable Care Act) is not about health care. It is about the Federal Government and its over reaching authority on your civil liberties.
Yes Do you support requiring illegal immigrants to return to their country of origin before they are eligible for citizenship?
No Do you support allowing illegal immigrants, who were brought to the United States as minors, to pursue citizenship without returning to their country of origin?
Yes Do you support the enforcement of federal immigration law by state and local police?
We currently have Immigration laws in place. For Homeland Security not to enforce those law is a dereliction of duty for which they should be fired. To stop a state from protecting its citizens for political gains is shameful.
No Do you support same-sex marriage?
I am Catholic and my religious belief are in conflict and will not support same same sex marriages.
No Do you support targeting suspected terrorists outside of official theaters of conflict?
Yes Should the U.S use military force in order to prevent Iran from possessing a nuclear weapon?
Suspected terrorist no! Known terrorist against the United States, yes.
Yes Do you support allowing individuals to divert a portion of their Social Security taxes into personal retirement accounts?

Several issues face our nation from Obama Care, same sex marriages, Pro-Life / Pro- Choice, Education, NDAA, Agenda 21, prayer in schools and the list goes on. My three priorities if elected will be: 1. Balancing the budget, and real in Federal spending at the same time auditing the Federal Reserve. 2. Lay down the law to the UN that we, (USA) we will not recognized Sharia law or abide by any resolution that conflicts with the United States Constitution. 3. Maintain a stronger military and stop giving aid to foreign counties that despises our country and way of life.
